OMOIA is built on a simple principle: your data belongs to you. We collect only what is strictly necessary to make the app work, and we never sell your information to anyone.
1. Who we are
OMOIA is an independent mobile application. For any privacy-related questions, you can reach us at support@omoia.app.
2. What data we collect
Free users — local storage only
If you use OMOIA without a Premium subscription, all your links and tags are stored exclusively on your device using local iOS storage. We do not have access to this data and it never leaves your device.
Premium users — cloud sync
If you subscribe to OMOIA Premium, the following data is transmitted to and stored on our secure server:
- A randomly generated anonymous user identifier (UID) — never linked to your name, email or Apple ID
- The links you have saved: URL, title, description, tags, dates, favourite status
- Your app language preference
- The timestamp of each sync
This data is used solely to synchronise your links across your devices and to restore them if you reinstall the app or switch iPhones.
What we never collect
- Your name, email address, or Apple ID
- Your location
- Any analytics or behavioural tracking data
- Advertising identifiers
3. Subscription and payments
All purchases are processed by Apple via the App Store. OMOIA never receives or stores your payment information. Subscription management is handled entirely by Apple.
We use RevenueCat to manage and verify subscription status on our side. RevenueCat receives anonymised purchase events from Apple and shares the subscription status with our app. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
4. How we protect your data
Data transmitted between the app and our server is encrypted in transit via HTTPS. We apply access controls and keep our server software up to date. Your UID is a cryptographically random 96-character string — it is not possible to reverse-engineer your identity from it.
5. Data retention
Premium users' data is kept on our server for as long as the subscription is active. If a subscription expires, data is retained for a grace period of two weeks to allow renewal, then permanently deleted. You can request immediate deletion at any time by contacting us.
Free users' data never reaches our server and can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the app.
6. Third-party services
OMOIA uses the following third-party service:
- RevenueCat — subscription management and purchase verification
- Google Favicon Service — to fetch website icons when you save a link (the URL of the saved link's domain is sent to Google's favicon API)
7. Children's privacy
OMOIA is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
